The opening has a hood that can be easily adjusted with a string (stopper) to prevent rain and snow from entering. I think they can be used regardless of the season. Includes an insole (inner sole) that is removable. Size: LL (27.0-27.5 cm) I bought these a while ago for my husband to use for shoveling snow.
