I believe this is Seto or Mino ware from around the 19th century. It's amazing it has survived so well. There are crackles throughout, and beautiful crackle stains. It feels good in the hand, and is surprisingly thin. The capacity is just under 2 go (a unit of volume, roughly 360ml), holding nearly 350ml. There is some flaking of the glaze on the rim. There are also areas where the glaze is missing inside the foot, but it doesn't seem to be flaking. Height: Approximately 12.3cm It has been lightly cleaned, but please wash it with regular detergent before use. Sizes are approximate. The actual item may differ slightly in color from the images. The images of it being held in hand are closer to the actual item. As it is old, there are age-related scratches and stains. Please examine the description and images carefully before purchasing.
