Purchased about 10 years ago. It's an older model, and the earliest type with the engraving. Compared to the familiar 170 and 180 models used in wind bands, it might seem large, but when compared to an S80, it's around a C✩✩, and it doesn't feel that open when playing. I've heard that the material is different from current models, and the body is larger in the older models, so the volume is simply greater, giving it a more profound resonance. I think it's a mouthpiece that has the elegance of Selmer, the smooth flexibility of an S90, and added power. I use a 190 and bought this hoping for something a bit more open, but I ended up not using it. I've forgotten the name, but it was a professional player's selection. A GF ligature cap is included.
