This is a cummerbund from Dior Homme during the era when Hedi Slimane was the designer. It was used extensively in that season's collection and is rarely seen now, 20 years later. It's deadstock and still has the tags. I also purchased it in deadstock condition, but I've only tried it on and haven't actually worn it. In the collection's lookbook, all the models wore black, and while black is certainly versatile, this color is a deep, dark navy blue, which also has its own appeal. Of course, it would look great with a black or gray jacket, or even paired with a tie or shoes in a similar color. Personally, I think it would look cool worn under a blue denim jacket, wrapped over a coat, or even over black pants, similar to the iconic combine denim from that season, as shown in the photos.
