This is a book cover made of dark brown suede. It's a size for paperback books, and fits Hayakawa Bunko. It has a simple design without a bookmark or band. The outer and inner covers are made of dark brown suede, which feels good to the touch and is resistant to scratches, making it a material I personally think is suitable for book covers. Since suede alone is too soft, a core material is inserted and a thin pigskin is adhered to the lining. Even so, it's soft enough to fold, so it will conform to the size of the book. Based on a pattern I created myself, the leather selection, cutting, edge finishing, and sewing are all handmade.
