Maxon SD9 Sonic Distortion MOD version is for sale. After collecting and comparing parts and sounds from all eras, from vintage to current models, and recording the parts' constants, this modification is the result of two and a half years of work. The modification concept is to combine the strengths of the vintage models, which sound good but lack power, and the current models, which have power but sound thin. Based on the current model, I aimed for a powerful sound with more depth, dimension, and thickness than the vintage models, without altering the circuit. It is very similar to ver.8 and 10, but the clarity when the guitar's volume is turned down is better than ver.8. The feeling that all the nuances of the left hand's touch and picking come out as sound is common to ver.8, 9, and 10. The solder itself for ver.8, 9, and 10 is very expensive, all over 30,000 yen per meter!
