I remade a furisode (long-sleeved kimono) I purchased at a recycle shop. It's a beautiful, glossy vermillion color with a woven pattern. It's made of silk. The design features cherry blossoms and butterflies. The lining of the long bag has embroidery and is from the main part of the kimono (photo 6), but there are fold marks and sun damage (photo 7), so the price has been discounted. The lining of the long bag is made from a silk nagajuban (long undergarment) fabric I bought as a bolt at the recycle shop. It has a beautiful pattern. The lining of the body bag is the same fabric as the kimono lining. The photos show a Tsugaru shamisen (a type of Japanese lute) inside. The shamisen is not included. Materials: Outer fabric: Silk Long bag lining: Silk Body bag lining: Unknown This is handmade by an amateur. Please be aware of this. Here are my personal thoughts... The shamisen's sound gets muffled when it's not played for a while, but I feel like it gives a good sound the more you play it. However, I feel like it gives a good sound from the first strike when stored in a silk long bag and body bag. (*^^*)
