Antique snow geta with a tatami omote (surface) made of straw. These are winter geta. The heavy-duty spikes that would likely scrape on modern asphalt roads have been removed, and rubber soles have been glued on. This is a repaired item done as a personal hobby. The tsumakake (toe strap) is made of genuine leather, and I believe the fur is real. There are stamps inside the toes that read "Betsujo Ushi" and "Oiwa(?)". The actual size is 21.5cm, so they should fit up to a 23cm foot size. I've only worn them a little since they were repaired, but there is rust on the metal fittings, scratches, nail marks, and peeling lacquer. The condition is good for an old item, but please check the images and refrain from purchasing if you have any concerns.
