This is a metal fitting for anchoring the butt of an ishidai (striped beakfish) rod. Even when light kue (longtooth grouper) fishing, the strength of ishidai pitons is insufficient, and problems such as piton breakage, shaft bending, and slippage can occur. For fish up to about 4-5 kg at a ko-ara (small grouper) point, you can use ishidai pitons with piton assists, but there is a good chance that a 7-10 kg fish will unexpectedly bite even at such ko-ara-focused points, so we recommend anchoring the rod butt for complete safety. Basically, it can be used with a single anchor, but for weak rock types such as sandstone, double anchoring provides stronger fixation. (When installing with only one hole, use the smaller hole.) The base is threaded, allowing for slight height adjustment. The adjustment range is not large, but even slightly raising or lowering the rod butt can raise or lower the rod tip to some extent. *Caution: Even when raising the height, always use it with at least 8 rotations screwed in. If the screwing is insufficient, there is a risk of detachment. The specific gravity is less than half that of stainless steel at 2.8g/cm3 compared to stainless steel's 7.93g/cm3, making it lightweight. Furthermore, the tensile strength is about 570N/mm2 for super duralumin, which is higher than stainless steel's approximately 520N/mm2.
