This is a shabby chic vintage mirror. It appears to have originally been the natural color of the wood, but it has been repainted in off-white. Over time, scratches, stains, and paint loss have occurred, creating a powerful atmosphere unique to shabby chic. While you may see "shabby chic style" or "vintage-style" interiors these days that aim for a worn look with poor quality materials and finishes, this is "authentic shabby chic," not the contrived, cheap-looking kind. Its presence and atmosphere are entirely different. Both the wood and the mirror are made of high-quality materials. The frame is made of hard, dense wood 1.9mm thick. The finish is not a simple flat surface, but rather has a shape where the center of each edge is raised (see images 5-8), with bead-like dot decorations. In addition, the mirror has angled cuts on each edge, preventing a flat impression and creating depth and dimensionality through light and shadow, resulting in a very atmospheric piece (there are no noticeable scratches or stains on the mirror surface). The back has sturdy hardware for hanging, allowing you to hang it vertically or horizontally as you prefer.
