This is a calligraphy inkstone, a Chinese Duan inkstone. It's a heavy inkstone with beautiful carvings. I received it decades ago from a relative who was a calligrapher, but I never used it and have kept it in storage. I have no plans to use it anymore, so I'm putting it up for sale.
