Oofos Black Thong Sandals "OOFOS®" is a recovery footwear brand developed in 2011 in Cohasset, Massachusetts, by a veteran team of athletes, trainers, and product developers from major shoe manufacturers, after two and a half years of development. They noticed that while there were many shoes on the market that emphasized impact, there were no shoes designed for impact absorption and recovery. They created OOFOS® and became pioneers in recovery footwear. The special material used in OOFOS® products, OOfoam, unlike the midsole of general EVA materials designed to generate forward momentum, reduces impact by 37%, thereby reducing the impact on the soles of the feet upon landing.
