★★Craftsman's Passion: Palm Rest Masterpiece★★ This is the progress confirmation page for Kinomi-sama's custom order. The top board is made of solid walnut (plain sawn) and finished with Osmo Color, a natural oil-based finish. The part that touches your hands is a gentle construction using walnut, often used in high-end furniture, and Osmo Color, a German-made natural paint. I handcrafted a palm rest that can compactly combine Apple #MagicTrackpad 2~4. The top extends inward like wings to eliminate accidental contact with the #Trackpad during operation. Custom orders for your preferred size and color are also welcome. Please feel free to comment. ● Purpose of Production The Trackpad has a wide operating area and smooth movement. As a device to replace a mouse, it's excellent for Windows, allowing the same movements as on a Mac. However, its weaknesses are that it's overly sensitive to static electricity and contact, leading to accidental touches and malfunctions, and that it takes up space. This palm rest solves these issues. ● Points of the Work ① The top material is walnut, used in high-end furniture; the middle is MDF; and the base is plastic board. ② Insert the Trackpad from the center PC side. It has a thin design, almost the same height as the HHKB. ③ The finish is two coats of Osmo Color, a natural paint. It preserves the texture and feel of the material. ④ The top parts are removable (attached with very strong double-sided tape), allowing for changes in pad specifications. ● Specifications of the Work ① Size (Overall Size) Overall: Width 369 x Depth 115 x Height 17~18mm The effective area for the Trackpad in the middle is 130mm wide. Left part width: 80mm, Right part width: 159mm. ② Color Walnut wood with two coats of Osmo Color, a natural paint.
