The throat tone resonates better than a wooden barrel, and I think it makes leaps easier to play. There is no selection certificate, but last year it was selected by Mr. Takao of the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra at Toyocho Buffet Crampon. The logo was originally faint from the time of purchase, but I used it for about two weeks of practice and performances before a concert, and I think it's in good condition.
