This is a genuine US military CWU-36/P flight jacket (manufactured by CENTRE MFG). It's a piece I collected nearly 30 years ago and have kept in careful storage. It's in remarkably good condition for a genuine US military item. There are no holes or tears in the ribs due to insect damage or wear. The shell also has no tears, oil stains, sun fading, or sweat stains around the collar. It's an item made with heat-resistant polyamid (aramid) fibers. Made in 1979, DLA 100-79-C-3124 The zippers and sliders are made by Scovill. The cigarette pocket slider has the original earplugs (with case) from when it was purchased. It's a MIL-J-83382B type with action pleats on the back. The action pleats were removed from the C type, making the action pleats a desirable feature. The CWU-45/P flight jacket was adopted as the successor to the MA-1 and WFS, and the CWU-36/P is for the summer zone. I have several other items from my collection for sale. The sizes vary depending on the item, but I selected the sizes to fit my body type. Even if the sizes are different (S, M, L), it should fit someone who usually wears a Japanese size L.
