This uses cards with completely different designs on the back. First, select two cards at random from the deck and place them face up. Next, deal the remaining deck face down, one card at a time, and have the spectator say "stop" at any time they like. At the stop location, place one of the previously selected cards face up, and place the remaining cards on top. Repeat the same procedure with the other card. Finally, when you spread the deck, the cards next to the stop locations... are perfectly paired! And amazingly, even the designs on the backs of those cards perfectly match.
