Wax-resist dyeing (reversible kimono fabric) This is a single-layered kimono. It has a bat-wing collar and a back lining only. I had it made about 40 years ago, after receiving it from a Japanese dance instructor. At the time, I was asked which side I preferred to be the front, and I chose the side with colored flowers. It can be remade. Images 4 and 5 show the reverse side, with white flowers. Images 6 and 7 show the pattern on the front, with image 6 being the closest color match. Images 8-11 show the sleeve facing. It appears the fabric width wasn't sufficient, so a different fabric was used for the facing. Please understand.
