Please understand that paper products may have age-related changes, yellowing, dirt, or damage before purchasing. ------ "Goats Head Soup" is the 11th studio album by the British rock band The Rolling Stones, released on August 31, 1973, by Rolling Stones Records. Similar to the previous album "Exile on Main St.", the band composed and recorded the album outside of the UK, specifically in Jamaica and the United States, due to tax evasion. The album features a total of 10 tracks, and the lead single "Angie" reached number 1 on the US singles chart and the top 5 in the UK. This album was the last to be produced by Jimmy Miller, who established the sound of the Stones' most acclaimed period, beginning with "Beggars Banquet" in 1968. Although bassist Bill Wyman only participated in 3 out of the 10 tracks on the album, the rest of The Rolling Stones members – lead vocalist Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and Mick Taylor, and drummer Charlie Watts – perform on all tracks except for "Winter," which Richards did not participate in. "Goats Head Soup" reached number 1 on the charts in the UK, the US, and many other countries. However, critical and audience reception was mixed, and it is generally considered the beginning of the band's decline after a series of highly acclaimed albums. Nevertheless, its reputation has been re-evaluated in recent years. The band supported the album with a European tour after its release. The album was remastered and released in 1994 by Virgin Records and in 2009 by Universal Music.
