This item was purchased over 30 years ago from a shop that specialized in Scandinavian embroidery. New items arrived weekly from Denmark, and the shop was always overflowing with fresh goods. I went almost every week and bought embroidery pieces from Denmark and Sweden. I am now selling items from my collection as part of a decluttering effort. As these are vintage items, I have selected pieces that are beautiful, of good quality, and that I love, so I believe they are all in relatively good condition. Please be aware that some items may have the unique smell of aged fabric. The craftsmanship of these pieces, each made with care over time, is truly remarkable. The shop owner started the business with the desire to share the beauty of Danish embroidery with Japan. Sadly, the shop closed over 10 years ago. This is a framed sampler with detailed embroidery from 1953. Upon rediscovering it, I noticed some stains, so I had it hand-washed and cleaned, but they did not come out. The stains are on both sides. I personally don't mind them much, and I have priced the item accordingly. Please take this into consideration. It's a captivating piece that is a joy to look at.
