An antique French compotier made in the 19th century. It is from the Strasbourg series, hand-painted in polychrome (multi-colored) design by Joseph Hannong. There are various theories about the kiln, and I was unable to determine it. (Theories include Lunéville, Sarreguemines, and Creil Montereau) Considering the historical context, the material is likely faïence fine. Purchased at a brocante in Paris, France. In addition to light cutlery marks, there is a thin black line as shown in photo 8. As it is a very old item, there is age-related wear and tear, and it is recommended for those who understand antique items. There are no cracks or chips visible.
