I purchased this from a wonderful person who I fell in love with it at first sight. I found a faint stain, about 1 cm long, on the back of the skirt, so I hand-washed the entire garment. It was said to be silk, but it didn't shrink after washing, and the texture didn't change, so it feels like a fabric very similar to silk. The previous seller, who purchased it from a vintage shop, stated it was silk, so it may be silk from that time. I've included photos of the stain on the skirt in the last two pictures, but it might be barely noticeable due to the satin's sheen. Those accustomed to vintage and antique items probably won't mind it at all. I truly love the wonderful fabric and simple design, but the satin texture just doesn't suit me... so I'm reluctantly putting it up for sale. It's a very lovely dress, a slightly pinkish ivory color, perfect for spring.
