I've only tried it on, and I've never worn it out. It's been stored at home and displayed. I still love the piece, but I haven't had a chance to use it, so I'm offering it for sale to someone who will cherish it. *I'm not sure if it's from the beginning or from deterioration, but there's a slight crack in the opening of the box.
