This is a very rare 8-inch plate. The soft white background, characteristic of the Kangxi period, is adorned with a beautiful array of five-colored flowers. They resemble single and double-petaled cherry blossoms. The center of the plate features a finely detailed flower basket. The reverse painting is also truly captivating in its beauty. The plate is relatively thin. There are some areas with chips, insect bites, and a hairline crack. This is a rare item that is not often seen. I am hesitant to list it, and may remove it from sale, so please understand. There may be a box from the time of purchase, but I have many boxes and may not be able to find it.
