This viola is estimated to have been made around 1910, with a body length of 40.0 cm and a total length of 67.5 cm. It has a sturdy, robust construction and a generous volume of sound. True to its age, the instrument has a sensitive response, and the lower C and G strings produce a deep, characteristic viola sound. The higher D and A strings are lustrous, producing a sound with the allure of a cello. This viola makes its presence felt when played.
