This is a Nankin (silver) futaoki made by Takeikage-do, a metal craftsman in Kyoto. It is a cylindrical futaoki, a very stylish design that imitates the trunk of a ginkgo tree. The body expresses the bark of the tree, and a single ginkgo leaf is carved on it. The light reflects beautifully when placed on a tatami mat or shelf, creating a very nice atmosphere.
