I only performed a power-on check as I don't have a desk to use it with. I confirmed that when the power is turned on, the part that inserts the desk opens automatically. I found it while organizing a warehouse in the countryside. It was used by my grandfather and was removed and stored in the warehouse. It was stored wrapped in plastic in a place away from direct sunlight and with low humidity, so it is in very clean condition. I think it doesn't look like it's been over 40 years old (personal opinion).
