This is Sophie the Giraffe. It's a natural rubber teether. It's easy for babies to grip and is soft. It squeaks when you squeeze it. My children have used it for generations, so it's faded and stained, but it was quite expensive originally, and it's still usable, so I'd like to pass it on to someone who will use it. I will wipe it with an alcohol sheet before shipping, but please disinfect it again yourself before using it!
