After turning on the power, there's a small clicking sound. Sound comes from both the left and right channels for PHONO, CD, TAPE (playback), and AUX input. I think the sound is quite rich and authentic. I don't think there's any noticeable noise either. The volume, mute button, balance knob, speaker on/off, loudness, stereo/mono, graphic equalizer switch button, graphic equalizer 5-band lever, surround level knob, and surround switch button are all working. There's occasional slight contact failure when pressing the buttons. I've confirmed that a signal is flowing from the TAPE (record) terminals to other devices even when the power is off. Two non-interlocked AC outlets on the back are working. I think this is part of a mini-component system or something, as the power cord is short. I can't check the surround speaker terminals because I don't have the dedicated speakers. The external control terminals, one-touch connector, PHONE, and MIC on the back are untested. The power turns on automatically when the AC plug is inserted. Then, it turns off when the power button is pressed. The surround lamp stays lit even when the power is off, and it turns off when set to OFF (PASS). It's somewhat warm even when the power is off as long as the AC plug is inserted. The top panel, etc., warms up quickly even in winter when the power is turned on. There is some dirt and scratches. Approximately 5kg. Approximately 32cm in length. I don't know much about audio equipment, so I'm listing it as needing maintenance.
