They are also well-known as a repair shop. The brand is highly trusted by famous Japanese artists and is known for being used in many live performances and recordings. This time, we have a Slab 59 made with a Paulownia (桐 - kiri, Japanese for Paulownia) body. It's a model that recreates a 1959 Telecaster type, incorporating modern specifications and the essence of RS Guitarworks. The Paulownia body has been used since September 2020 as a high-quality alternative to ash, due to the depletion of ash wood. It has sound characteristics and grain similar to ash, and above all, it is an ultra-lightweight body, making it the perfect wood for Telecaster types. The sound resonates well from the moment it's played, and the mellow sound is just like that of a vintage guitar. The aging is superb. The way the cracks and dents in the paint are applied is very realistic, making it seem like the guitar has been around for decades. I purchased it new in 2014 and have only used it at home. I have kept it carefully, so it is in very good condition. The condition is also very good. I hesitated to let it go, but I had to sell it to organize my equipment.
