This Echizen-nuri bowl is wonderful, with its rounded form and ancient vermilion color. It's a very versatile lacquerware, perfect for hearty soups, udon and soba noodles, donburi dishes, and even ozoni (New Year's soup). It's quite old, but in beautiful condition.
