Sandaishobei (Shobei) was a kama (tea kettle) artisan of the late Edo period. Sandaishobei's real name was Ajisen, his common name was Shobei (Shobei), and he went by the art names Jokyu. Sandaishobei is said to have rarely made kama himself, instead specializing in their appraisal. Sandaishobei also had a shared box (kyobako), and there is a koma-gama (spinning top kettle) favored by Daiko Oshō. Sandaishobei died in 1838 (Tenpo 9). As this is quite old, there is deterioration over time and rust on the inside. Please understand this before purchasing.
