Vintage tableware from Melitta, a German company that invented the world's first paper coffee drip. This is a plate from the Hamburg series. As the decoration name "Blumenspiel (Flower Play)" suggests, it is a gorgeous and lovely series with various shades of blue flowers, berries, and leaves scattered throughout. Produced from 1966 to 1985, it was designed by German product designer Lieselotte Kantner. She led the design department at Melitta/Friesland for 20 years. Her products have won numerous awards and are exhibited in many museums as classic designs, including the Gestaltung Museum in Zurich, the Kunstgewerbe Museum in Berlin, and the Grassi Museum in Leipzig.
