This is a Janome umbrella, a type of Japanese umbrella, featuring hand-painted wisteria and rural scenery on a red background. It has been stored at my parents' house for a long time. It is made primarily of fabric and bamboo. About 5 of the bamboo ribs are broken or missing at the tips, but it does not affect its use. There are stains on the fabric, but no holes. Decorative red thread stitching is applied to the inside of the umbrella. The thread stitching is a technique that connects the bamboo ribs with colorful threads on the inside of the frame.
