This is a set-up made by upcycling a black formal kimono (Kuro-tomesode). Measurements (laid flat): Top: Width (underarm to underarm): approx. 62 cm Length: approx. 48 cm Pants: Total length: approx. 91 cm Hem width: approx. 41 cm Ribbon length: approx. 232 cm Please allow for some error. The waist is fully elasticated. A 2.5 cm wide elastic band, approximately 80 cm long, is temporarily secured with safety pins. Please sew the elastic to fit your waist, making it larger or smaller as needed. There are five belt loops sewn on the waist, made from the same fabric. There are pleats in the front and back of the pants (four pleats each). The pants have a diamond-shaped gusset at the crotch to allow for a wider range of movement. The diamond shape also provides extra room inside the pants. The sleeves are French sleeves. Due to the pattern, the width of the top is narrower than previous items. Fusible tape has been applied around the neckline for reinforcement and along the edges of the diamond-shaped gusset to prevent fraying. The selvedges are left as is, and the cut edges have been serged. There is a reddish stain on the left side of the top, which appears to be color transfer. Please consider this when purchasing. Images showing examples of layering with a jacket or cardigan are also included. The fabric has not been pre-washed. It has been made as is, from the kimono as purchased. This item was made by an amateur as a hobby. There may be imperfections such as loose threads, unevenness, and overlooked stains. Any stains or marks on the kimono are from the time of purchase.
