Items from my parents' house clearance. The type of wood is unknown, but it has been coated with varnish (oil), giving it a nice atmosphere. Originally used to display art pieces, it can also be used as a batoning block for splitting firewood. Besides batoning, it has various uses such as fatwood carving, a lantern stand, and a stand for Dutch ovens and frying pans. The wood breathes, so small natural cracks may occur due to drying.
