However, considering the hides of edible Japanese Wagyu beef as a byproduct, and with the idea that "circularly economizing the hides that would otherwise be discarded is a form of sustainable circularity," we visited "Goto Seikakujo," a major leather production area in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, to explore how to make edible Japanese Wagyu hides usable for clothing. After repeated prototyping, product commercialization was achieved. Using Japanese Wagyu beef from Kagoshima Prefecture, one of Japan's leading Wagyu production areas, and by soaking it in oil and kneading it, this MADE IN JAPAN riders jacket has been completed, with a finish that retains the ruggedness of the Japanese Wagyu.
