☆ Harris Tweed, a traditional Scottish material, is a fabric handwoven for centuries, known in Gaelic as "Clò Mór," meaning "big cloth." As Scotland's production capacity of "Harris Tweed" increased, this tweed became known worldwide. This was due to the great attention given to the tweed's rustic texture and unique colors and patterns. However, only tweed fabric made from wool from the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, dyed, warped, and finished by islanders, and woven on hand looms can be called "Harris Tweed." Currently, three woolen mills are operating in the Outer Hebrides, with approximately 180 artisans remaining.
