This is a very rare antique silk ribbon. It has a hand-painted, childlike, scarecrow-like pattern in burgundy on an ivory background. It's made by braiding in a circle and then sewing and gathering the ends to prevent fraying. It only stretches horizontally when pulled. There is some color change due to age, but there are no noticeable damages or tears, and I think it's in good condition for an antique. The pattern becomes symmetrical when folded in half, so you could cut it in half and make two ribbons for Ichimatsu dolls.
