Thank you for viewing. This is the Kaala KU-100TM, a ukulele once offered as a private brand by Shimamura Music. It's a tenor size, with a solid mahogany body, a 1-piece mahogany neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and a bone nut. The bridge is a separate type. It seems to have been a high-end model at the time, second only to the core wood model with the same specifications, and the retail price was around 80,000 yen. Used ones are not often seen. It's made in Japan, and was OEMed by Fujigen, so I think the build quality is solid. Low-G strings are installed, and the string height is 3mm on both the 1st and 4th strings. The tuners seem to have been replaced from friction type to geared tuners, but the original tuners are also included. A sturdy hard case and its key are also included.
