The TEISCO "MODEL 59" is a Japanese vintage guitar from the early 60s, popular as a unique and bizarre guitar with a semi-hollow or full acoustic construction. It features a dark sunburst finish and a single pickup (1PU). TEISCO's History TEISCO was a musical instrument brand that operated in Japan from the 1950s to the 60s. It was acquired by Kawai Musical Instruments in 1967, and the guitar brand was discontinued after 1969. From its early days, it had many designs with rich and unique styles, and especially in the 60s, it established its own position overseas as a bizarre guitar. Manufacturing Era: Early 1960s Construction: Semi-acoustic / Full acoustic (Bizarre style) Number of Pickups: 1PU (Single) Appearance: Dark sunburst finish Operational Status: Power confirmed, all controls normal Playability: There is damage at the base of the neck, and the string height is quite high with standard tuning, so it is not practical. However, I have played thousands of guitars, and the sound is exquisite. It has a thick, mellow, and clear sound like T-Bone Walker. This is a junk item. It is an extremely rare item that is almost never seen in the used market. I think its rarity will increase in the future. I objectively think that now is the only time to buy it.
