I purchased this item on this site and used it only once. I'm not sure about any color fading, but it seems to be a general characteristic of this item, as all the ones I've seen from other sellers appear to be the same pale color from the beginning. There doesn't appear to be any dirt, but there are some minor scratches on the vinyl. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about this, as it has been stored at home.
