The Kakiemon style features subjects such as birds and flowers painted in warm colors, with a milky white background and rich composition. The production technique of the milky white base color called "Nigoshide," invented by Sakaida Kakiemon of Arita, was discontinued at the end of the 18th century, but it was revived in the Taisho and Showa periods by the Thirteenth Generation Kakiemon. Due to this achievement, he was designated as a Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure) in 1971. *There are some areas that appear to be unevenness in the glaze.
