I upcycled a Nagoya obi. The pattern was beautiful, so instead of cutting it up, I made it into a table runner. (Original obi: Photo 11) The vibrant yet gentle aquamarine color is lovely. It seems to suit both Japanese and Western-style rooms. As it's a remade item, there's a sense of use, but I think it will easily blend into your room. I enjoy making Western-style clothes as a hobby, specializing in straight stitching. I upcycle old kimonos, obis, and furoshiki (wrapping cloths) such as tsumugi, meisen, and komon.
