This is a kobukusa (small silk cloth) used in a tea room or tea box. Approximately 15.5cm long and 16.3cm wide. Since both the front and back are made of the same cotton fabric, you can gently wash and iron it. There are also a chawan-bukuro (tea bowl bag) and a chashaku-bukuro (tea scoop bag) made of the same fabric. The second photo shows the surface (the side that is seen).
