This is a writing box made by Shunpo, made of wood with a black beveled edge, decorated with iron wire and gold hand-painted lacquer, and inlaid with mother-of-pearl. It appears to be unused, as it has been stored since purchase without being used. It is an elegant item that is easy to use. There are no noticeable scratches or stains. It is a very beautiful item. The paper box has slight scratches.
