Ring-patterned sake tokkuri (flask) / flower vase, old Tokoname ware *We do not accept price negotiations via comments for single item purchases.* This is a kame (jar) or tokkuri (sake flask) from the late Edo period, used for soy sauce, sake, etc. The price was changed after seeing the price of a similar item on the September 2024 broadcast of the "Kantei-dan" (Appraisal Show). This is a rustic and tasteful tokkuri. The dynamic ash covering and the contrast with the bright natural glaze (sesame) scenery, and the varied kiln changes are the attractive features of this old tokkuri. The yellow sesame glaze, like a galaxy lying across the dots, is a highlight. The warmth of the earthen color of the clay itself is simple and matches both Japanese and Western interiors. It matches the color of the furniture and can be used as an object, or as a flower vase or single-flower vase, which is stylish and modern and would also suit a Western-style room. Condition: The condition is relatively good for its age, but there is a chip on the rim. Please refer to the photos.
