SCHWUND - Living Lies (LP) Mangel (Germany) 2025/11 Release Based in Berlin, Germany, synth-punk act SCHWUND has been active in the Berlin punk and wave underground for over a decade in various formations. From 2017 to 2021, he played drums in the Berlin punk band MASKE. In 2019, he founded the synth wave duo DAS DAS with Cosey Mueller, releasing two records on Detriti Records. In 2021, he formed the no wave synth punk duo LOHN DER ANGST, whose latest release "UNTERGANG VOM UNTERGANG" was released on MANGEL in 2024. Since 2015, after the release of the GEDANKENÜBERFALL EP, he has been active solo as SCHWUND, performing live with analog synthesizers and playing partially surreal and often satirical German lyrics. With the exception of the 170-minute double tape "NEUE GRÜTZE" (2017), his releases are heavily influenced by early NDW, punk, and early 80s cassette underground.
