Circa 1900. This piece uses the acid etching technique, a form of oxidation corrosion that was only possible around 1900, making it a high-grade Baccarat piece. It features etching that is an arrangement of the traditional Japanese pattern, Seigaiha (blue ocean waves), famous for being custom-ordered by Harumi Shoten, with yellow-green overlay decoration and gold gilding applied on top. It shimmers delicately in the light, creating a fantastic atmosphere. This piece is the perfect size for beer, cold sake, generous amounts of Japanese sake, or straight whiskey. It has a comfortable, familiar feel.
