The small pearl flowers and gold flowers are made by processing metal. They are about 1.5-2.5cm in diameter. The red flowers are sola flowers, made from the bark of the sola tree (professionally made dried flowers that I've made into hair accessories). They are fragile, so if you are concerned about the 3cm thickness, I recommend the 5cm-thick Takkyubin Compact for an additional 400 yen.
