This is a traditional Okinawan craft, a "dachibin" (抱瓶). It features a powerful depiction of the deigo flower, and is a wonderful piece that evokes the warmth and strength of Okinawa. The dachibin was once a portable flask used in Okinawa to carry alcohol (Awamori) outdoors.
